Wheeeeee!

Back in June, we went to the US for two weeks. While we were in Ohio taking care of a number of less pleasant tasks (house selling, medical appointments, etc.) we took a break for a day and went to King's Island. David (and even Sophia) discovered the fun of an amusement park.


There is something about this picture I just love. I think it's the complete look of joy on David's face as he whips around in this ride.





As you can see, David is now in a red ladybug car... "more, more" was the chant of the day!



And here is David on the little roller coaster with Grandma. (Thanks to Jack and Sandy for making the trip to Ohio to help out with the kids!)


Even Sophia got into the action on this (very tame) ride. David really likes hanging out with his little sis.

One thing David doesn't like, however, is grownups dressed as characters. This is not a unique reaction. We've seen several walking characters in Lima (e.g. a computer and a cell phone for a recycling event, a pineapple drumming up business for a juice store) and David has freaked out each time. Poor Charlie Brown! (And poor David!)
