Feliz Dia de la Madre

Thursday at David's Nido, they had a grand fiesta for all of the mothers. The Peruvians definitely know how to throw a party, and as we said before, they are serious about nido. The kids gave their mothers a handmade gift, a rose, and chocolates, which David proceeded to eat later on before I could get to him... They also put on quite a show, which you can see below.

Here, David is dancing with his "novia" (girlfriend) Jimena. His teacher Miss Katty in the white shirt and long ponytail is helping him get some moves on more like a Latino and less like a Gringo.
(Facebook viewers, don't forget to click on "view original post" to go to the blog.)

This is David's two year old class doing their routine, sort of a modified Hokey Pokey. (David is in the way back by the door.) David has the stand up and hands in the air thing going, but not much of the "put your body part in and take your body part out..." That's his teacher's assistant Miss Judy helping out in the back.

Happy Mother's Day!

He & Jimena are soooo cute together. What a great nido - the kids look like they're having a wonderful time!
